1313 Akhand Pahts..Vah Vee Vah..

So as most people know by now, Baba Mann Singh (Pehova Wale), is starting 1313 Akhand Paht Sahibs in the next week or so, and on SikhSangat there’s been much discussion on the topic.
Now some people are vexed about the number of pahts being done saying its pointless and useless, but since when has reading Bani ever been useless? The more bani we read the better. I remember back in the old Malton day’s we would pick a Gurpurbh, and collectively as a Friday class, everyone would do a determined amount of Mool Mantar Pahts. (It was usually something like 10, 000 each) and everyone got a counter to keep track. Come time of the Gurpurbh, an ardass was done for the collective amount of Mool Mantar bani that was completed. Now I fail to see how that is anti gurmat. The more bani you read the better. Same argument goes for when people question why Jap Ji Sahib or Jaap Sahib are done continuously alongside Akhand Pahts, claiming its pointless and anti gurmat. The discussion later took an expected turn, when Mann Singhs not so distant past showed up into the discussion. The main argument by those who support Mann Singh to this day, is that those who made the accusations, Kulbir Singh and their families have since left Sikhi and can not be taken as credible sources. That entire argument is flawed and instead proves why Kulbir Singh and family can be taken seriously.
I personally knew Kulbir Singh for the longest time growing up, after all they where the ones who came up with the idea of starting a Friday class at Malton. They would teach and inspire those who had yet to take Amrit, to take it, and would always try to share whatever insight they had on Sikhi with us. When the classes started our core guys where in grades 7 and 8, and the classes continued well into our high school years, when in turn the seniors of the class started to take a more active role in preaching to the young’ins, as Kulbir Singh was tight on time after having his own new born at home. In hind-sight a lot of what was taught, sakhi’s etc. was from the Diwaans of Mann Singh, who Kulbir Singh was really loyal and close with. I can honestly say at that time Kulbir Singh was ready to take bullets for Mann Singh if the occasion ever came up.
Its because of that loyalty and shardaa that Kulbir Singh had towards Mann Singh that the whole argument breaks up. For someone who followed Mann Singh so closely to then realize the truth behind them, shattered their world, and in turn made everything Mann Singh spoke a lie. This went as far and as deep as to effect their Sikhi, after all, it was Mann Singh who preached to them daily about the importance and greatness of Sikhi to begin with. It was because of Mann Singhs betrayal that, things resulted the way they did.
This isn’t the first time it has happened, nor will it be the last. Many people who have had the misfortune of attaching themselves to fake Sadhs, have later had their hearts ripped out when they realize it was all a scheme. It is for this reason that true Mahpurkh, such as Sant Harnaam Singh, would take people who had attached themselves to their feet and instead attach them to the feet of the immortal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee.
As for going to the Akal Takht, Singhs approached Jatehdar Vedanti, a few years back in Toronto, about having Baba Mann Singh ex-communicated from the Panth. Jatehdar Vedanti made note, that cases like this are not new and there have been many accusations in the past about other precharaks. They told the sakhi of how Akal Takhat had excommunicated a Precharak in the past on the claims of a Bibi for having raped her, but then later came to learn that the Bibi was in fact part of the RSS and was part of a larger scheme to destroy this individuals image, so unless video proof or something more concrete other then the word of an individual came to light, they couldn’t do anything about it. Even, Mann Singhs closest gurvai left them, after apparently witnessing and learning the truth about Mann Singh.
To me this is reminiscent of The Nation of Islam, and Elijah Mohammad. Malcom X used to be down to die for Mohammad, and even when people where making accusations all along, he would deny and denounce them. However after time he came to see the truth himself, and he himself felt like he was betrayed by the one thing, and person who gave him life. However, after going to Mecca and seeing a whole different view of Islam, Malcolm realized that the work he was doing wasn’t in vain, just a bit of course, and continued to do the work he was doing. In the same way, one can only hope that those who where ill effected by such precharaks will one day, see that Sikhi really is all that it is made out to be and again continue on serving the Panth.

i think those pictures are ridiculous. guru granth sahib ji should be kept with satkar and respect. all those paaths going on at the same time, first of all the one paath that is going on outloud, will distract all the other paathi’s. what is the point of doing so many akhand paaths if none of the paathis can concentrate. wouldnt it be so much better if all those singhs instead sat in sangat with full satkar of sri guru granth sahib ji and listened to that one akhand paath going on. i believe this way everyone would be able to concentrate and their would be that much more satkar.
Doing an akhand paath shouldnt be a spectacle where people say woah so many Guru’s ji’s prakash. It should be where we go listen to guru ji’s words and concentrate on it.
Whats hte point of having an akhand paath goign on where you cant even hear what the paathi’s saying and the paathi can hear another paath going on, the sangat can’t get lahaa, and the paathi cant concentrate.

“They’ll have to focus that much more”. that is theoretical. i am telling you they wont be able to concentrate as much with other paaths going on.
and when people come in to listen to the paath, are they going to matha tek to all 1313 saroops?
why not do it with pure satkar if you have that many sewadars. Have one akhand paath, someone doing chaur sahib sewa while the paath is going on, and everyone else listening in the sangat.
Also if you look at the pictures, theres nowhere to sit for the sangat. whichever way you sit, your back will be towards guru ji.

The only pro to the situation is bani is being read. There would definitely be more laha if each paath was done at a seperate house. Imagine the amount of people that would be listening.

To the anonymous people saying that it’s beadbi of Bani or something to have multiple suroops, many Puraatan Guru Ghar were like this and many Singhs say that in Puraatan times, there would be multiple suroops of Guru Granth Sahib Jee at the same time, being read simultaneously. Some Gurmukh Pyare have also had supne (dreams) of Puraatan times or older Guru Ghar, and they with their own eyes have seen the Guru Ghars having multiple suroops of Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee Maharaaaj.
Plus Gurmukho please don’t say that such pictures are “ridiculous” because no pictures of Guru Sahib Jee, especially so many suroops, can be even close to “ridiculous.” Plz Gurmukho be careful with your words.
“Have one akhand paath, someone doing chaur sahib sewa while the paath is going on, and everyone else listening in the sangat.” This sounds great and ideal but often times when people get Akhand Paats done, noone is even listening except the Paati reciting the Bani themself. A lot of times people don’t even listen to the Bani being read. I think the more Bani the better, but oh well, I could be wrong,-Bhul Chuk Maaf karna

Any person stating this is Beadbi, needs to wake up and get over the Chardi Kala of Sant Baba Mann Singh.
The underlying fact is that some people cannot withstand such a personality in Our Panth who is making change to the life of Thousands.
Such a personality is based upon a great amount of Chardi Kala which in essence had been in the public eye for the great part of probably 10 years……
…..Why is we can only criticise?
Why is it we cannot accept such a Chardi Kala Sant and Unite as one??
The answers are very simple……Jealousy!!!!!

As for the person who started this topic, the jealously is clearly visible…
Why else would “if it wasnt Mann Singh it would be great” be included in the Poll.

…..Just think, You state Kulbir Singh use to give ideas for Programmes at Malton…..Kulbir Singh was enlightened by Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji, so in reality the whole factor behind such programmes although with the ultimate blessing of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was indeed Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji….
We should acknowledge such facts and realise where we are today….The 1313 Sri Akhand Path Sahib are for Sarbat da Pallah….That includes everyone reading, yes everyone….
This surely leads to the question….If Sant Baba Mann Singh Ji is carrying out 1313 Sri Akhand Path Sahib for Sarbat da Pallah…..Then this must also include all Nindaks………..Just think about it and reflect upon what we as Sikhs are doing today…..???

People talk about shardaa - how much sharda is there when Guru Ji’s Akhand Paath is arambh but there is no one in darbar sahib to listen, they are all outside chatting? Is this shardaa ?
What an amzing sight to see so many saroops of Guru Ji and soooo much bani being recited at the same time, just being in the presence of so much bani must be so good for the soul.
Many hours have been wasted over Baba Mann singh and the accusations, and you know wot ? nothing was ever proved. You would think that so many nindahks all over the world with so much resource and backing behind them they could muster up something. If there was even a shredd of evidence these people would move night and day to convict Mann Singh Ji, but nothing, absolutely nothing. “Santa kay karaj aap khaloa, Har kamm cravan aa-yha raam.”

Where there is Akal Purkh beside them then no one can touch them.
Baba Mann Singh Ji will remain in chardi kala, so what if the so called sangat of Dubai banned them. who is the losser? if it is their bad kismat that they chased away a Guru-tha-pyara then that is their lose.
