Playoff Round 2

Writing by shinda on Monday, 8 of May , 2006

Its a day late, but then again I’ve been somewhat removed from the blog world (I blame the 12 hour work days + the lack of a computer) as the main reason.Anyways now that we’ve all had a week to relax, lets get back to things.

Firstly comments about Round 1.

The biggest shocker here was Lakers taking Phoenix to Game 7. It took Phoenix a while to get over the playoff jitters, but by game 7 they settled into there Suns style of basketball. Denver was a disappointing series, some games they didn’t even look like they wanted to play.

Everything else went as per game plan, and you got to give it to Arenas for putting up the fight that he did.

As for those who left there picks lets see how yall did:

- Tejdeep 8/8
- Jason 8/8
- Gurjeet 8/8
- Mandeep 8/8
- Gagan 7/8
- Atam 7/8
- Harsimran 6/8
- Gurdeep 6/8
- Nav Gill 8/8

Now on to what really matters, round 2 picks…

West

San Antonio Vs Dallas
Don’t ask why, even though San Antonio took Game 1, I see Dallas having more heart, and wanting this more then SA. I put this series in 7.

Clippers VS Suns
As much as I want to see the Clippers win the championship really it is, Phoenix is just that damn good. With Thomas back and having come back to win the Lakers game the Suns are hot right now, so I see Phoenix taking this in 6 (possible even 5).

East

NJ Nets Vs Miami
The best series too watch for. Both teams are quick and offensively gifted, and aren’t all that bad on defense neither. Carter is the man to look for, and the one who can make or break the series for the Nets. If the Carter of old comes knocking then you can expect that he’ll get injured this series leaving Miami to bull doze right over the Nets with little problem, otherwise with Carter the Nets still have something to put up a fight with. All in all Miami is going to take this series in 6 or 7, and what its going to come down to with 2 healthy teams, is coaching, and that’s where you got to give it to Pat Riley.

Detroit Vs Cleveland
Detroit in 5. Do I really have to explain why?

As always leave your picks for this new round.

Kobe will bounce back. Don’t worry.

Spurs in 7 (Hopefully Dallas wins though)
Clippers in 6 (You dont beat Kobe and get away with it)

Miami in 6 (Wince will stop driving after game 2)
Detroit in 6 (LeBron will win 2 himself)

First and foremost Shinda,
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to do kirpa on your gareebs by blessing us with some reading material.

ANd yes gurdeep sion, Kobe will bounce back because people continue to hate him for the same reasons they love him.

As for the first round series. Im pissed off that the lakers and pacers lost. I seriously thought they had that **** locked down. Oh well, JO will be back and looks for the lakers to make a huge run at some decent players.

Spurs will win the series against the MAvs becasue of Timothy Duncan. I hate the man, But have mad respect for him.

Suns will beat the clippers because the suns are on a crazy high right now. This game should goto 6-7 games still….I love you kobe but NAsh was the 2006 MVP hands down. (although kobe should have atleast finished 2nd)

Deee-troit Basketball….Lebron will atleast take 1 from the pistons. they cant shoot 15-20 from the 3pt land again.

NOw for teh MArqueee Matchup. Shaq will not let the Heat lose in this round. he has never looked healthier since 2000 when he won mvp. If shaq plays more than 33 minutes each game the HEAT WILL SWEEP the nets. However, since that wont happen because the nets are following in the steps of Vince and acting like famale kittens. Look for collins, nenad and robinson to flop..hoeover with them flopping the heat will still win because Shaq is long overdue for number 4…
“They’re all the same. They all have their flop fraternity. A flopternity is what I call them; Flop Flop Flop”

NBA finals are gonne be nuts this year… Heat Vs. spurs…

Duncan vs. Shaq!!!

First of all, **** happens but the black mamba be back next year dropping a 37ppg average. Now for round two. As much as I want Dallas to win, it ain’t happening. Spurs in 6 and Dallas keeps each game close. As for the Suns-Clippers. Clippers in 6 as Brand and Kaman will abuse Diaw and Marion inside. Add to that the fact Sam I am and Livingston will abuse Nash on the defensive end as well as the Cat droppin treys here and there, the Clips are taking this in 6. On to the East, Detroit in 5, they’ll have one off game thas about it, other than that the Prince will outduel the King, and the 4 all stars are gonna tear apart the Cavs. Heat in 6 over the Nets. Shaq gets into foul trouble because Wince “*****” Carter will flop near shaq everytime to get him into foul trouble. In the end, Shaq will show a mix of his finesse and power game to take the Heat against the Pistons. Holla! PS. I gots a pair of Red Nike Kobe Zoom 1s size 11 if someone wants em.

Detriot - But I would love to see them lose

New Jersey - I’m not going against Carter

West

Dallas - Hat Spurs just as much as Detroit, plus Spurs are boring to watch

Suns - Bell & Kobe should go on WWE and have a wrestling match. . . bring back memories

IT’s simple I’m going for Carter, I’m going for Snn’s. I don’t like Spurs, I don’t like Detroit. Dallas vs Suns and would be fun to watch. Carter is a show on his own so I don’t care who he plays as long as he wins.

You want to know why I hate Vince Carter? No? Well I’m going to tell you anyways.

If anyone caught the end of Game 3 between Miami and New Jersey, with about 55 seconds left hes standing on the side lines laughing like a homo, when his team was only down by like 7 points. He did the same thing after missing “the shot” against Philadelphia in “that series”. Show some damn emotion, get in your team mates faces and tell them to steal that damn ball, ala Mamba. Then in the timeout hes sitting there with his face resting on his hand, disinterested. It reminded me so much of the last season he had with the Raptors that I wanted to throw something at my TV. But obviously I didn’t. Like come on, its my TV. Anyways he will never win anything worth mentioning in his career because he’s softer then a marshmellow and is about as loyal as Nina Myers from God’s show, 24.

To all of you picking Miami, you deserved to crushed underneath Shaq’s 24’s.

Leaders in Free Throw attempts:
Billups 12, Pierce 10, Nowitzki 10, Bryant 9

Most game winning/tying shots that were blocked:
Carter 4, Magloire 4, Allen 4

Kobes up there in the FTA category, I dun see pwassy boy there. secondly Carter is tied wit MAGLOIRE in a game winning/tying category even if it is blocks, thas jus sad.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! Shinda, any post comparing Carter to Kobe should be immediately deleted. Its simply blasphemous. I think you like Carter so that aint gonna happen, but CMON!!!!! Clutch? What about kobe game 4 in the PHX series. Carter couldn’t do that if it was just him on the court with no time limit. All talks of Carter being “clutch” should have been thrown out when he missed the shot in Philly.

“Witness” (To Kobe, not LeBron).

And I am well aware that they went on to lose the series, but i dont think it was a “choke” as his team, if you want to call 4 ugly monkeys dressed in Lakers jerseys that, got exposed.

LOOK AT THE RINGS …THE RINGS! WHOOOOOOOOOOO!

Wince HAD one record in the NBA, I believe it was most 3s made but then came along KOBE took that record and Marshell tied him. word to him.
KOBE aka the Black Mamba dropped 81 thus being in the record books FOREVER whether u hate him or love him. The only thing kobes hated for is hes selfish, hes a hog, but atleast when he hogs the ball he drops 62 in less than 3qrtrs n blows out the MAVS, Carter for that matter when hogging the ball either a) trips on it and ruins his ankle b)trips n ruins his entire leg c) misses most of the shots and loses the game or d) trips n breaks his wrist e) fall and hold his head like he did in the indiana series. carter drops a clutch shot every now and then cuz his coach gives him a chance. everyone was sayin carter had a chance to redeem himself in game 4 including Bill Walton and wat does he do? He CHOKED! on his own balls. in the indiana series in a cluth situation Jefferson got the final shot not carter=soft. But lets look at the bright side, atleast he didnt “fall” and damage his soft of a brain.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! Are you kidding me Pindi? Carter couldn’t make clutch shot down the stretch if his moms life depended on it. Shaq was the main for the 3.5qrtrs and then even he knew Kobe had to step in make all the free throws n shots down the stretch cuz shaq had trouble makin the free throws. Their 1st championship came wen Kobe was ready to handle that role. They failed in the years before and when kobe was ready him and shaq dominated. case in point game 4 of the 2000 finals. Kobe misses game 3 with ankle injury, and comes back in game 4 (not what pwassy boy wouldve done) shaq gets fouled out wit 3mins to go in the game, kobe goes to shaq says its ite ill take care of it. carries his team to OT, then wins it for em. Everytime carter tries to carry his team his ankles crumbe beneath him. Dun hate the game, hate the playa. I keep getting burned, plzzz, you the one here defendin a pwassy.

you cant punk kobe to gagan because, Gagan is blind to kobe’s greatness.
BUt Carter on the other hand is the most gifted NBA player but hes a straight up fossy boy.

its not the last second shot that defines kobe as much as it is the entire play in the fourth, The Defense, the offense the demeanour. ITs everything.

Carter was amazing when he had heart, but like hte sign says

May 16th, 2006 - Vince Carter is relied upon to take the final shot in an elimination game against the mighty Miami Heat. In true fossyboy fashion, Mr. Carter must have left his guts and testicular fortitude in his posh condo, which he shares with his mom and wife, as he was barely touched yet stumbled and missed the in bounds pass. Ofcourse, Carter will contend that he was fouled on the play, but in actuality, his whole career has been one long foul. Half Man, Half Heart, Half Shot, Half Black (that makes everything one fourths, but come on that does not sound nearly as cool) will never win a championship and the Raptors continue to build on a bright future. After the game, Shaq and Flash could be seen giggling about fossy boys innane (is that a word?) attempt in the final seconds, and reminded each other why he is such a loser. Shaq zindabad. Kobe zindabad. Vince … hes just bad.

So after he missed the shot against Philadelphia at the buzzer, you wanted him to get in his teammates faces and tell them to steal the ball? I think you just said that so you could mention Kobe’s name in there.
