Raps vs the Wizards March 30th, by far the greatest game this season. Ah still coming off cloud 9, but what can I say about Peterson other then 3 pts in 9 seconds and he made it when it counted. Bosh a good night as always, 37 pts 14 rebounds, and Bosh nailing the coffin in the casket with that dirty block in the dying seconds of OT.
Onions baby onions…3rd in the East with a Rookie team, hoepfully we don’t turn into the Supersonics.
For those who haven’t heard yet UFC bought out Pride today for an estimated 70 million US, monopolizing its hold on the MMA fight scene. If the news is to be somewhat reminiscent of when WWF (screw the E) bought WCW back in the glory days of Wrestling, then I guess that would make the IFL the TNA, in UFC’s back side.
Although this now makes UFC vs Pride dream fights possible, it also brings about changes to Pride’s rules, i.e banning the use of stomping and knee’s while on the ground. Either way it’s still good news for the sport, and I can’t wait to see the Superbowl of UFC / Pride fighting. The news is best when you think about fighters like Anderson Silva, GSP and even possibly Liddell who seemingly are above and beyond most other fighters in their respected weight classes finally getting some better competition. Hopefully this change will help keep all these fighters on their toes, and bring about some historic match ups in the near future.
Anyways for more info on the merger check out ESPN, Sherdog or the official UFC site, and hopefully Bhagauti will have something more insightful to say about the merger.
Looks like these 2 are back at it, and this has to be by far the funniest in their collection of out takes. Might to be old, and played out, but the Jack and Jill skit earned it, its own post.
Looks like the Ottawa guys[1, 2] got some competition when it comes to making hit videos, since the mans from Guelph aren’t all that far behind.
All right, fair enough it’s not the greatest video out there but all attempts are worth some praise.
The jokes, well you can only hear Russell Peters, “someones gonna get hurt real bad” line so many times, before it gets played out, and fair enough the stereotypes and accents were a bit overboard. All the same the video got 1st place in the John F. Ross Film Festival, so that has to be worth something towards the movies credit, and is a good step forward for everyone in the community, and will hopefully inspire these mans into making some better films, down the road.
What more is there to say other then Kashmiri Singhs are on the verge of doing big things….

or in case of the Green Street Hooligans, the firm. So yesterday I came across this movie, Green Street hooligans, never heard of it before, never even knew it existed until someone recommended I check it out. Now usually when a movie goes un-noticed its because the movie sucks, or it’s in some next language and you have to read subtitles to make sense of things, this movies neither of the two.
I won’t go into details, but this has to be one of the greatest sports movies of all time. Then again that could be because it has little to do with sports and more about the firms that surround the English football scene. See there’s never been a question that the Europeans take sports seriously, and that Football is like religion down there with the star players being like prophets, but who would have guessed that the sports teams got a gang type sub culture. Groups willing to go to war with other groups all based on the home teams. Imagine being a part of a crew, and whenever the Raps played New Jersey you’d all go down together to start it up with the New Jersey crew, who are affiliated with the Nets. It would take the Carter beef to a whole ’nother level.
Now whether such things as firms even exist is beyond me, I wouldn’t be surprised if they do and maybe the UK natives could confirm that, but regardless they go to make one hell of a movie. To best describe this movie its a Fight Club meets some soccer flick, meets Boyz in the Hood. I’m telling you this movies an instant classic, on all levels. For some reason though I couldn’t get 300 out of my head, “This is Madness…NOOO this is GREEEEEEEEEEN STREEEEEEEET”….
Whatever check the trailer out and be sure to grab the movie, its on mininova still, that is off course if you can’t find it at Blockbuster or anywhere else.
There’s nothing more impressive in sports, and that shows more character, then when a player sticks up for another teammate. There’s no better way to get the fans behind you then showing them that you’re there for the team and not yourself. Just that listen you can foul me all day, but you touch my boy and its on mentality, not only makes the fans respect you that much more, but it goes to help solidify that notion that the team really is one cohesive unit.
Maybe that’s why when seeing Ford come to the aide of Bosh and get into it with Bogut you can’t help but to get goose bumps crawl up and down your spine. After all this is the second time this season when we have really seen the Raptors act as a team, in the I really got your back sense. Just like the time when we saw Garbojosa all distraught and actually worried when his boy Calderon hit the floor those many games ago. Or the way the team rallies behind Bargnani when he’s playing his game giving the young rook from over seas the confidence he needs to know he’s part of a team that’s behind him.
Or maybe all that is just an after thought, a consequence of playing some of the best basketball this franchise has ever known, that when loosing to top teams everyone wonders how we let such games get away. But even more amazing is how quickly everyone has rallied behind a team when just last year the thought of being playoff bound and even possibly playoff contenders would have been laughed at by all serious sports analysts and writers. But whatever it is, its working, and its refreshing to see, lets just hope it carries on.
This blog for better or worse is an extension of my procrastination and boredom. It's not intended to convince, impress or convert you to be anything more then what you already are, but if it does then more power to it. Do be warned that the time you waste on this site, will be your own and I will not in any way shape or form be held responsible in compensating you for your losses.
