anyways Im a vegetarian myself, and really i cant beef with meat eating sikhs. I have submitted to the fact that only halalo is a kurihit, but eating maas isnt good for ones jeevan as well. however its not a kurehit, and if you are gonna eat maas it should only be chatka. these days people abuse the chatka exception, but thats a different story.

All I know is that I was listening to Suraj Prakash Granth Katha by Giani Takhur Singh and he was straight up about how meat is NOT a part of Sikhi. He’s done Sangat of some pretty uchay mahapursh so I’m pretty sure I’m going to take his advice and not every Tom,**** and Harry on the internet.

firstly, ranjit sio is a friend of mine. secondly, this video was taken by me. thirdly, this is not from hazur sahib, but rather at Baba Bakala, on the mela of Rakharpunia. It was around Auguest 28th when I was in India. These Nihung Singhs that did the langar seva were from Rakha, a pind just outside Ludhiana, under the leadership of Baba Joginder Singh Ji. The mahaprashaad was served the sangat, and we enjoyed it with the whole sangat, be it Nihung or non Nihung Sikh brothers.

I’m in agreement with Ranjit Sion. I will forever say that Jhatka is not part of Sikhi and I don’t think that meat should be served as langar. That being said, if Nihangs want to practice that, then so be it.

As far as the whole “thay Jadoo Akkaldan Chitran day bajda..fer darday aa” comment. Come on Singh. Be real. I’ve talked to Nihangs and they’re not how you describe.
